Budget 2026-2027
For the financial year 2026–27, the primary focus of Nellikkuzhy Grama Panchayat is the concept of “Healthy and Hygienic Nellikkuzhy.” Projects are being formulated with equal emphasis on health protection and sanitation. The Panchayat will expand the activities of the Haritha Karma Sena by promoting the message “My Waste, My Responsibility.” Funds have been allocated in the budget for various waste management initiatives.
To realize the dream of providing housing for the landless and homeless, an amount of ₹105,265,000 has been earmarked under the LIFE Mission housing scheme. The budget also gives importance to youth welfare, arts and sports, women’s empowerment, and senior citizen welfare.
An amount of ₹4,232,400 has been allocated under the Women Component Plan. Further, ₹2,116,200 has been earmarked for the welfare of children, persons with disabilities, and transgender persons, while ₹2,116,200 has been allocated for senior citizen welfare.
The governing body has presented a surplus budget with:

- Expected Receipts for 2026–27: ₹527,901,473
- Total Receipts: ₹543,119,677
- Total Expenditure: ₹524,447,223
- Expected Closing Balance (Surplus): ₹18,672,454
This budget reflects the Panchayat’s commitment to sustainable development, social welfare, housing, public health, and sanitation.
